Song Description
"Mama Said" is a slow ballad. Musically, though basically a country ballad, to me it has an Eric Clapton,"Tears in Heaven" feel. The lyrics tell the story of a man looking back on his mother's life,and her efforts to raise him on her own after his father's death. and her faith in Jesus to help raise the child. He reflects on these things as she is now in her dying days.
