Story Behind The Song
Inspired by an actual explosion of snot in my sinus cavity as I rode the elevator to the top of the Pru in Boston. It only felt like an explosion to me; nobody else on the elevator noticed. It was loud and kind of scary.

Lyrics
Stairs: they lead up or they lead down.
They can help you change your altitude.
If you live on a beach, you can measure your altitude in stairs, almost.
I am presently 10 stairs above sea level.
As you climb stairs, the air pressure drops;
As you descend it really starts to rise.
I remember riding on the elevator at the Prudential tower.
The change in pressure messed with some snot in my sinuses.
There was an explosion in my head.
There was an explosion in my head.
There was an explosion in my head.
"Yeah, the pressure's really gettin' to me, man.
Yeah, I gotta move up."
It must be strange to think about air pressure
When you are in Death Valley.
Which is actually several hundred or maybe thousand stairs below sea level.
In fact it's hard to breathe there at all.
When you increase your altitude, the pressure drops.
When you increase your altitude, the pressure drops.
When you increase your altitude, the pressure drops.
