Story Behind The Song
I thought that by drawing the analogy between what we do to another human being and what we do to Earth, we may see things differently and change our actions accordingly.
Song Description
This is a wake up call for us humans... if somebody hurt, stabbed, suffocated, set on fire or raped another human being, everybody would be horrified. But somehow we are ok with doing the same things to Earth... simply because we don't see Earth as a living entity. Yet, Earth is as much alive as we are... still.

Lyrics
You're too blinded to see me cry
There's no time to stop
From your meaningless quest for gold
I can't breathe, smoke is in the air
Fire's everywhere, and you're
Cutting my skin to the bone
Look at my face trying
To whisper I'm dying
Look at your hands, they're blood stained
Do you even remember my name?
You took me for granted
Crushed me under your feet
Told me you've got a million others like me
Please wake up, just stop hurting me
Can't you see I'm falling and
I'm taking you down with me
Look at my face trying
To whisper I'm dying
Look at your hands, they're blood stained
Do you even remember my name?
I loved you, even now I still do
But how long do I have to wait until you...
Look at my face trying
To whisper you're dying
My body is healed by rain
But you still can't remember my name
It's Earth
I gave you birth
My name is Earth
I gave you birth
It's Earth
