Story Behind The Song
I live the fairy tale life. When I started playing and singing at open mic's in bars, it was my first real exposure to the thirty-something, divorced, bar-fly kind of gals that seemed to be looking for love in all the wrong places! I often wondered HOW some of the women I saw, came to be what they are today. I thought about my life and what could happen to me to end my fairy tale and how I would react...and the song "Cinderalla" was born.

Lyrics
**** CINDERELLA ****
(SHERRI MULLEN)
I WAKE UP IN THE MORNING IN A STRANGER'S BED
QUIETLY I LEAVE HIM, NOTHING LEFT TO BE SAID
I SLIP OUT OF THE BACK DOOR, NOT FEELING ANYMORE
IS THIS REALLY LIVING - I THOUGHT I WANTED MORE
I USED TO HAVE A LOVER, I USED TO HAVE A LIFE
HE SAID THERE WAS NO OTHER THEN HE TOOK ME FOR HIS WIFE
HE LEFT ME STANDING HELPLESS, JUST STRUGGLING TO SURVIVE
IS THIS REALLY LIVING - WHY DON'T I FEEL ALIVE
(CHORUS)
I ONCE HAD DREAMS - I WATCHED THEM DIE
I ONCE HAD HOPE - I WATCHED IT FLY
AS I WATCH MY CASTLE WALLS COME CRUMBLING TO THE FLOOR
CINDERELLA DOESN'T LIVE HERE ANYMORE?
(GUITAR SOLO)
TRAPPED UP IN THE TOWER I STAND LOOKING DOWN
PRAYING THAT HE'LL FIND ME BEFORE I HIT THE GROUND
RESTLESS NIGHTS THEY HAUNT ME, THOSE FAIRYTALES OF YOUTH
BUT THEY NEVER WARNED ME THAT FAIRYTALES AREN'T TRUE
(CHORUS)
I ONCE HAD DREAMS - I WATCHED THEM DIE
I ONCE HAD HOPE - I WATCHED IT FLY
AS I WATCH MY CASTLE WALLS COME CRUMBLING TO THE FLOOR
CINDERELLA DOESN'T LIVE HERE ANYMORE?
CINDERELLA DOESN'T LIVE HERE?
CINDERELLA DOESN'T LIVE HERE ANYMORE?
