Story Behind The Song
A year after I had treatment I found out that a friend of mine in Florida had had it at the same time. Though she did not have chemo, she's the one who told me about the Red Devil name and I immediately knew I had to write a song about it.
Song Description
The Red Devil is the nickname for a chemo drug used to treat many types of cancer. So named because of its color and the fact that it causes hair loss, nausea fatigue and all the other classic symptoms associated with cancer treatment.

Lyrics
I am waiting on the telephone
A chill runs through my bones
And the Red Devil waits for me
He is standing on the corner
At my window throwing stones
And he doesn't even know my name
I am shocked by the sound
Of the mirror coming down
And I know that things will never be the same
The ghost of my reflection
Is haunting all my dreams
The shattered pieces all that I can see
The damage spread before me
A destiny of tears
And he doesn't even know my name
When he strikes the hammer blow
Instinctively I know
Nothing's ever gonna be the same
No nothing's ever gonna be the same
Nothing's ever gonna be the same
