I originally wrote this song in hopes of releasing it prior to the 2018 midterm elections as a way to inspire people to go out and vote. The song uses a personal tone, of someone who has been repeatedly abused and taken for granted and simply wants to feel alive and vindicated. I always hope this song inspires someone to break themselves out of an abusive scenario.
