Earth's Embrace

Story Behind The Song

i wrote it, like so many others, my second year at cornell university, probably neglecting some genetics reading. it's really a song about all the different ways we are, and the overwhelming anonymity of it.

Song Description

ya know, it's a little opener with some harmonica thrown in at the end

Lyrics

the clear sky, the firing line,
shards in the wall
i?ve walked along it?s length
i?ve held the gun, i?ve been the one to stand
tall with the smoke in my face
i felt the lead pass through my bones,
i felt the earth?s embrace
the day i?m born, the day i die,
it?s not so different to them:
paper grass, a velvet sky
i?ve held the gun, I?ve been the one to say
another will rise in my place
i felt the lead pass through my bones,
i felt the earth?s embrace
