Story Behind The Song
Saw a documentary about the spouses of those deployed in war zones and how difficult it is for them, and how they carry such a mix of emotion. Also, I had watched Ken Burns documentary on the Civil War and was moved by the letters written back and forth between husbands and wives. Both of these programs inspired me to write this song.

Lyrics
There's a rain coming down from the Mountain
And a chill in the air I can't shake.
It's been too many days, I can't count them
Before you come home to me.
Chorus-
I will want for you each evening
Watch the sun fall from the sky
I will place a flame in the window
To shine through the night as your guide
Your last letter home said don't worry
You'd be joining your brothers in arms
That's been six weeks ago, and still counting
I pray that you've not come to harm.
BREAK
CHORUS-
I don't care who wins or who loses
I just want you by my side
For it's been far too long since you've held me
Far too many tears have I cried.
CHORUS-
