I've been to heaven, where the angels dwell
I've been a beggar on a horse riding straight to hell
I've been a poacher, I've been a thief

I've built some buildings and I've knocked them down
I've outlived every king that's come around
I've seen charisma, and I've been taken in
Being misled can be just as big a sin

And my burdens, they are my own
I don't give 'em out or take another's home

I've eaten the fruit, so I better watch out
But my biggest sin has been my self doubt
I've died by discipline working in the sun
Dying by hedonism's way more fun

What can make you feel good can make you feel real bad
Like a woman or a drug that you mighta had
I'd rather die from living, than living like I'm dead
I've had to spit out half the things that I've been fed
I been sad, I been sore
Being happy is knowing what to ignore
I believe in forgiveness right after revenge
Maybe that's why I'm back in this hell hole once again

I've been tossed out like an old shoe
By people who found something better to do
I've tried to use whiskey to fill this hole
It might fill an empty glass but not an empty soul
Sometimes a little poison can be a cure
Like a lonely quick walk through hell can make a guy pure
If I crack my head, fall down and die,
I'll just come back and grow another head as another guy

The seas and stars they ain't really there

Suffering it ain't really there
