Story Behind The Song
I wrote this song at a time that I was going through a lot of pain in my life, could not express myself except for playing and singing this song. I called my good friend Maggie and told her I needed a bridge, and she quickly responded with the hope.

Lyrics
HopeOn The Tracks
by Maggie Whitaker and Rich Cerniglia
Without Hard times, where would I be,
You know those hard times, they don't care about me
without hard times knockin at my door,
nobody would come to see me at all
Oh those hard times, been with me all my life
yea those hard times, they cut you like a knife,
and I keep on, lookin for a sunny day, but the rain just keeps comin my way
bridge
Hope on every stop, no more hard times comin my way
Show me life on the other side before I die
give me strength to stay on these tracks, get to a place with brighter days, I see hope on the tracks, hope on the tracks
those big ole freight trains, come runnin through my yard
those big old freight trains, they shake the walls real hard
Maybe late, maybe later on today, I'll hop that train and let it take me far away
