Story Behind The Song
I wrote it after my wife left for a 41/2 month gig in Japan.
Song Description
This song is a pop ballad. The arrangement is a bit candied up but the core of the song deals with the heartfelt longing one feels when they have to say goodbye to someone. If you listen closely, you'll hear one of the guitars crying.

Lyrics
Verse 1:
I could barely see the street, wiping tears away
I never felt such pain eating at my soul.
I hardly could believe that I said goodbye,
I knew I was alone and I couldn’t help but cry.
Chorus:
I cried the whole way home, I never felt so alone
I cried the whole way home, I felt so lonely, already lonely.
Verse 2:
As I drove away my body felt so numb
I could not accept that my only love was gone
Everywhere I looked all I saw was you.
It made me hurt inside and I couldn’t help but cry
Bridge:
Oh it just happened so fast when you said goodbye
I never felt so alone and I couldn’t help but cry.
