Story Behind The Song
I suppose I would have been satisfied if we recorded the tune without the game show intro, but I just couldn't resist recreating - in our own way - what had inspired the song title in the first place. Since no women will dare hang out with us when we're making music, Bumblefoot plays the part of "Janet" - and the scream he emits at the very end had us laughing our asses off for the next 72 hours. Classic.
Song Description
I rarely see Bumblefoot as riled up to produce a piece of my fluff as he was to get his hands on this one. He's a perfectionist, which is why I love him, since I - not to mention most of the human race - lack the patience & dilligence that he possesses which allow him to get into the meat & potatoes of a track and really fine-tune it. His panned guitar adds a whole new element to what was a pretty standard drum-and-bass tune. I searched long & hard for a robotic-sounding sample that would allow us to create that Speak N Spell-style voice I wanted, to no avail, so we did the next best thing - Bumblefoot recorded me syllable by syllable & then processed & pitched down the bejesus out of it. Genius.
