Story Behind The Song

With lyrics and initial chord ideas penned by bassist Brian Ellis, Da Phatfunk Clique collaborated on several recording sessions to fine-tune the composition into an energetic jazzy track with just their own four-piece instrumentation (bass, drums, keyboards and violin). The goal was to create a sound that is both classic and contemporary at the same time.

Song Description

This song describes the happy, positive feelings about a couple dating and experiencing their lives together. From romantic dinners and lavish vacation getaways, love grows from the day to day intimacy of time spent together and culminating often in the passion of the heat of the night!
