Story Behind The Song
This is a multi-genre based song. Listen to the different styles of music incorporated into this pop song. I wanted to write a song that was like a love relationship with the various music styles representing the different things that go on in a relationship. Just as in a personal relationship, if a couple makes it work right no one really notices the differences because the couple blends those differences seamlessly. Unfortunately, it rarely happens and the "dance" eventually ends because the song is over and it's the "End Of The Dance."
Song Description
In relationships you do more than one kind of dancing but you only notice that if you are paying attention. In this song you have that experience too as there are various "musical styles" blended in. Most people won't get it. That's why most relationships are dysfunctional; because most couples don't get it.

Lyrics
END OF THE DANCE
Your love was only a dream for me
Then I woke up to reality
I never gave you the love I could
Or made it last the way I should
So many reasons to end our romance
Because of me we never had a chance
The song is over it's time to move on
It's the end of the dance
Don't keep on hanging on to the past
`Cause nice guys always finish last
We can be the very best of friends
God will forgive us in the end
So many reasons to end our romance
Because of me we never had a chance
The song is over it's time to move on
It's the end of the dance
(Instrumental Break)
So many reasons to end our romance
Because of me we never had a chance
The song is over it's time to move on
It's the end
It's the end
It's the end of the dance
