This song is a story i wrote about my ex husband (short marriage). Picture a woman in a relationship with a man who is selfish- he only cares about himself and thinks the world revolves around him. He constantly complained from the moment he moved to Los Angeles - about the people being to friendly, no one can drive (and mind you I had to teach him how to drive - he is an east coast man); I'm a bubbly playful type of person...so I wrote a song about my frustration and my need to scream (daily) Don't bring me down with all your complaints...He's a "kill-joy" This song was a way to express my feelings of being fed up with his "me me me whoa is me" attitude and continual dialog and tell him about himself while declaring that I no longer wanted him to bring me down... and some day empower other women who suffer the same scenario to vent in their cars while cranking up this song!

This song is a story about women or a woman in a relationship with a significant other who is selfish- who only cares about themself and thinks The person is a "kill-joy" and the woman is sick of it because the person is bringing her down, chasing her down metaphorically with their "whoas". She gets fed up after another "me whoa is me" conversation and decides to tell her significant other about themself and declares that she no longer wants him/her to bring her down. and writes a song about it ...
