Lyrics

WHOLE SYSTEMS DESIGN
©1999 by Oliver W. Tuthill Jr.

Verse
Deep forests are greener. The air pure and clean. You can drink from a river, a brook or a stream. Transform the cities, designing the schools, transforming perspectives, seeking spiritual truth. And when they ask you how it was done tell them Whole Systems Design.

Verse
Emotional intelligence, I know how you feel. We?ve learned how to parent, to nurture and heal. Political redemption, no one sleeps in the street, social innovation, no more children will weep. And when they ask you how it was done tell them Whole Systems Design.

Bridge
All deep blue oceans under the sun, billions of life forms, all are as one. Mountains in sunset, glitter in gold, in the context of the larger whole, all the patterns that we behold, from the atoms within your hand, to the dark seas of a distant land, no more fragments of cold despair, extended families are everywhere, living in sweet community, there?s a system of unity, no compulsion to buy or sale, no consuming for the ego thrill, no more macho to be a man, future ancients.

Verse
Media violence not promoted or planned; now we all have our Walden, child, woman, and man. Local economy from Mars to the Moon, we?re not building prisons, no more babies abused. And when they ask you how it was done tell them Whole Systems Design.

End
It takes local economy to create real community. It takes local economy to create real community. It takes local economy to create real community. It takes local economy to create real community. It takes local economy to create real community. It takes local economy to create real community. It takes local economy to create real community.

End - Counterpoint harmony
That?s the way it ought to be, for every boy and girl alive, give them a chance to thrive.
That?s the way it ought to be, for every boy and girl alive, give them a chance to thrive.
That?s the way it ought to be, for every boy and girl alive, give them a chance to thrive.
That?s the way it ought to be, for every boy and girl alive, give them a chance to thrive.
That?s the way it ought to be, for every boy and girl alive, give them a chance to thrive.
