Story Behind The Song
It all starts with a request for co writing from a very talented song writer Janet Steely (Missouri). Her lyrics and a draft melody in mind, she contacted me to make an arrangement with orchestral and celtic flavors. What inspired me here is the purity of her words, Butterflies celebrating the arrival of Spring. An instrumental version, The Butterfly Ballet, as well as a video are also available. On my Broadjam page, and on http://youtu.be/YYfbGopJnT8 (better video quality there)
Song Description
Butterflies celebrating the arrival of Spring time, in a frenetic and enchanting dance around newly blossomed flowers, Daffidils. One of the first popping up from under the snow cover. A light and joyful overall mood.

Lyrics
V 1: Butterflies majestic fair
Dancing in the air
Blooms of yellow shaded hue
Spring comes
Dancing on a prayer
V 2: Flying high and flying low
See them come and go
Butterflies on Daffodils
Are here
Where yesterday was snow
CH: Dance, Butterfly dance Butterfly
Yellow Daffodil stand tall
Raise your trumpet up to call
Dance, Butterfly dance Butterfly dance
V 3: Found your wings in your cocoon
Sunny afternoon
Flutter softly as you fly You're free
And not one day too soon
(chorus)
Bridge: Springtime floats upon the breeze
Whispers kindly to the trees
Winter's gone & Spring has come
Her promise now fulfilled
Of Butterflies
And Daffodils
Final CH: Oh Dance
Butterfly dance
Butterfly
Yellow Daffodil stand tall
Raise your trumpet up to call
Call, call for the dance
Butterfly dance (x3)
