I love the rawness of the recording. It sounds like friends sitting around a table drinking wine on a Thursday night. The vocalist has good pitch, a nice vibrato and a strong voice overall. The accompanist's rhythm is solid and sure.

I love how the opening lyric immediately exposes the central tension; off the bat, I know exactly what the song is about and where the speaker is coming from. The hook really hits it home, I thought 'hypnotized' was a very strong word choice to highlight in the hook - really encapsulates the tension in a single accessible word. Also, the inner rhymes in the whole scheme were subtle and slick... If the listener didn't catch 'em consciously, he/she definitely felt it. Vocal performance was strong too, and the dynamic changes were effective too. Overall, the lyric and melody were slick, appreciate how the melodic range escalated into the hook. Groovy musicianship too, had me nodding for sure.
