Story Behind The Song
Annette and I were together in High school and we were in love but we broke up and she moved away to another state and I never knew where until 28 years later we connected again and started up a relationship and she was always a good writer and I was always a good musician and we started to collaborate and discovered that we make a great writing team and this is the result of that. Only our 2nd song together. The beginning of many more I'm sure of it.

You're Gone
Lyrics by Annette Ramirez and Music by Nick Flores
Driving down a road that I can't see, faith is taking me where I need to be. My heart beats because it has to, doesn't feel like living without you.
I will never understand why you left me here alone. It was gone in a moment despite the love that was shown.
I go through the motions day after day not ever sure that I'll find my way to you, back to you.
(Chorus)
But now you're gone, you took a part of me I can't get back, to who I used to be.
And now you're gone, it all got ripped away, it was my soul that was never meant to stay ... and you're gone.
So our story ended way too soon. Never got the chance for the stars and the moon. What we lost that day was never to be found. Everything we had was buried in the ground.
I go through the motions day after day not ever sure that I'll find my way to you, back to you.
(Chorus 2x)
