Lyrics
When I woke up this morning, I reached out for you
Like I always do
On your side of the bed there was nothing to find
Hasn't been for some time
It's been twenty-five years since you left me here
For a trip around the sun and the moon
But I'll see you soon
Thought about having breakfast but decided instead
To go back to bed
'Cause there's a chair at the table that sits next to mine
That still weighs on my mind
Where we used to kill time drinking cheap carton wine
Now it's quiet, silent as a tomb
But I'll see you soon
I woke up again at a quarter past two
Still thinking of you
And of the days we spent sleeping the afternoon through
Just 'cause we wanted to
Now it's just me in here trying hard to disappear
But only fading more into you
But I'll see you soon
One day I'll wake up to your warm loving touch
But for now, memories have to do
But I'll see you soon
Yes, I'll see you soon
