Lei Hoku (Star of Love)

Story Behind The Song

I wanted to give this song a Hawaiian name as it has Hawaiian guitar as one of the instruments backing up the violin. When trying to describe the song to a Hawaiian friend all I could say was that this song has a lot of love in it and that I wanted the word "star" in the title. She came up with Lei Hoku which literally means "a fixed place where your love can always be found". The short translation is "Star of Love".

Song Description

Featuring violin as the solo instrument backed up by piano, Hawaiian guitar and acoustic bass. This song stays serene throughout but builds to a more intense emotion midway through and then comes back down again to end.
