Another genre of music that I enjoy. I wish we heard more of this on the radio. Fortunately, local and folksy stations still indulge in this. Also great music for a church, retirement center, etc. Mainstream radio might shy from it, but that is their listeners loss....The lyrics are strong. No forced or silly rhymes. Each rhyme has a purpose and helps complete the picture being drawn by the lyrics. Whoever is singing has the right vocal tone and sound for this kind of music. There's a great message to a song like this. "Homemade" is best often best in all kinds of things. This particular song would be great for kids to hear and see performed. Nice images being drawn for someone to wants to sit-down and listen.
Simple but entertaining and quirky folk tune. Made me chuckle a little! Vocalist does a great job delivering the original sounding lyrics which come across very clearly. Nice mellow sounding guitar. Love the smooth harmonising vocal at the end of the chorus. Overall, an original and well written/performed song here.
