It probably could be used in a TV comedy scene.
I liked this. The lyrics were good and creative, the piano playing was excellent and the story was fun! I could visualise what was happening. Great singing - voice, pitch and mood. Very good ending.
Always bringing there best.... It's here...... you have nimble fingers
This is a fun song. It's managed to find the fine balance between being funny for kids, and also having something for the parents in the audience.
The vocals are great -- lots of inflection and emphasis, without being over-done. And the singer's voice is pretty much perfect for this kind of song.
I wondered about the piano arrangement at the beginning, until I realized what kind of song this was. Then I just let the rather impressive finger-work carry me along for the ride. Nicely done.
Also, you've done a great job with the bridge and the final verse. This song tells a story, and teaches about consequences, instead of just repeating the same (wonderfully) silly idea of an old lady wanting to be a kid again in the bounce house.
You did it again, Kate! This song from quite some time ago has unbeatable descriptive lyrics with different twists and turns that get away from the cliches that so many songwriters like to use. The melody is an easy singalong with a very deft piano beginning with a Josef Fucik favorite. I'd call it a terrific album cut and that's precisely what you probably did with it. Studio skills are great but I always give high marks against my non-existent production skills. I do look at things in a songwriting perspective because I love writing unique catchy tunes. The melody is much better than the rating I gave. It asks for a hook; well it doesn't have the unique hook that hit singles have but I don't regard that as a relevant requirement in this piece...the hit single doesn't appear to be what you're after and I don't regard that as any less quality of the song. the lyrics are what make it here. It is lyrically impeccable, and deservedly a higher score for those words if there was an extra star for it. Overall, the song is very enjoyable.
Wonderful piano/vocal--first class recording. I get that this is really for kids and moms, LOL! Enjoyable!
What great, funny and well done sone this is! The vocals and piano hold it down all nice and tight! Nice arrangement to allow the song breathe and prepare for more of the story, which twists and turns in funny ways!
This song has a very old time music hall meets charlie chaplin feel about it blaring out from the piano .It has the a feel of comic geniuses Victoria Wood meets The Two Ronnies from the lyrical content to the way the song is performed and presented. it would very much suit being performed on stage live. A great job keep up the good work
Excellent piano playing.
Great piano playing! The vocals are great also. Sounds like something you might hear on Broadway. This really lifted my spirits today. Thanks so much.
Winsome ditty about a grandma who wants a go in the Bounce House. She certainly sounds bouncy enough. Bright lyrics, brightly sung. And a confident piano backing - circussy, occasionally a touch of ragtime. But mainly reminiscent of a '50s comic song double act, particularly Flanders and Swann.
Fun song. Very well executed. The piano player is fantastic as well.
