luv the beginning very noble and confident nice balance and mix
strong vocal singer didn't start yesterday
Really Nice heavy guitar from the start - digging the production - there is definitely a journey influence, maybe bon jovi, lover boy. Simple and driving tune - really dig it. The hook and bridge - tasteful. Smoking. Outro takes me home - yeah baby.
Wow nice fat production qualities to this track. Reminded me of some Rush stuff mixed in with the Rolling Stones.
Introduction creates a tension, which is a good lead in to this song about a couple seeking some kind of rebirth in their relationship. The singer admits his failure in the first verse and then declares that there's a second chance, a hope, which he describes, using several metaphors. He uses oceans, a dam, sunset, eagle, diamonds. Lead guitar nicely done. Vocal is very clear and performance is passionate. The outro is really super cool. Someone put a lot of thought into this production. Most original lyric in song: I've been treating you like a second class citizen. Very honest and creative. Nicely done.
Firstly I like the swagger of the song. Great guitar chords and clever lead work. A strong vocalist who absolutely sells the song. I like the way the chorus provides release to the tension that verses build and that fits in well with the 'open the dam' idea. Very well recorded. The song puts me in mind of the group Television particularly in respect of the vocal.
I love everything about this song. So many colors and elements that are reminiscent of so many greats. 5 stars!
Much to like about this piece. Great instrumentation, arrangement, and vocals. Intelligent lyrics. A very well put-together effort. Puts me to mind of some of the really good rock of the 70's and 80's, but with a modern feel.
