Story Behind The Song
I was just starting to sit and write songs for a new CD I was putting together, when this song flew out of me. I just wrote as all the visions of different human experiences came through me.
Song Description
This song speaks about the various aspects of human existance. Centuries of war and strife, the second verse eludes to the loss of parents by a child, a young man going to jail for misguided choices. Just various aspects of life and death.

Lyrics
Night after night I sit alone
Working on my rhymes.
Gazing through the sliding glass
The roses are in bloom.
As I sit and stare
My vision blurs
And shapes come into view
I am moved by what's revealed
In the space of none too soon.
Chorus: From My Room
I can see forever
Castle walls and valley floors.
From My Room
All that went before me
Battlefields and lives of youth.
No mere tune
Can express the story
Of all I see, From My Room
Verse 2:
She was sweet and barely grown
When her parents went away.
He was tough and had had enough
When the steel locked him down.
Flash of lightening 'cross the sky
Rich with thunder, visions, more.
One day a rifle in a hand
One day a wise man's scorn.
Bridge:
Sub silence ruins
From the tombs they come a callin'
I feel a whisper
A brush across my face.
No walls are binding me
My mind is it a climbing.
Carried to there
By imagination's lace.
Chorus
