Story Behind The Song
A friend of mine at the time found it hard to commit and start relationships and would often end them before they could even begin, since she was hurt quite badly in the past in an abusive relationship which sadly involved domestic violence. I equated her behaviour to a phobia....an avoidance of falling in love with someone for fear of being let down or hurt again in every sense of the word. Since the image of height and falling best summed it up, it became the intial concept of the song.
Song Description
The singer sings in the first person, seeking reassurance that if they were to open up their feelings and learn to trust again, that they wont be hurt and let down like they have been in the past. It is also about a new beginning which requires finding the courage wtihin yourself and belief in others, before you can begin.
