Copyright March 2017 (C)

1st Verse
Maybe I will see Darlin,
Maybe I'll see you again.....
I'll see you in my dreams.....
Oooo till this sad war ends.........

2nd Verse
Maybe I'll hold you darlin......
Maybe I'll hold you again.......
Maybe the next time we meet...
They'll be no good-byes then.............

Chorus
I don't know what's waiting
On the road up ahead
Maybe I'll just stay here awhile..
And have a beer instead...
And have a beer instead....

3rd Verse
Good-bye Mom & Dad...
Good-bye my old friend....
This is where I become a man....
And where my childhood ends..........

4th Verse
Too many soldiers are dying
Too many tears are being shed
I'll never understand why we're fighting
And when will these wars ever end....

Chorus repeat

Fresh interpretation of a well used theme. The instrumental mix was great!

To me, this obviously out of the pages of a Tom Petty style with a touch of country thanks to the sweet pedal steel. Pretty cool song.

Good tune, reminds me a bit of Tom Petty, I bet you get that a lot. Solid lyrics and instrumentation. Production and arrangement are well done.

Reminiscent of Bob Dylan and reminds me of "Where have all the Flowers Gone?" Here's a folk song that questions the sanity of war and ends up sipping beer, contemplating at all. The guitar playing is nice, showcased nicely in the introduction. Favorite lyric: This is where I become a man and where my childhood ends.
