Story Behind The Song
I visited the grave of my father, who was a marine.
Song Description
It was originally written to evoke the lost lives of soldiers due to war. Imagine looking over a cemetery, a battlefield, or seeing the family of someone who has lost a loved one due to a crisis or catastrophe. That is what I imagined as this was being composed. There is a section around 2:04 where the saxophone is wailing or crying out. Very powerful.
