Love the acoustic work. Production quality is also very nice. It has a sense of professionalism and realism to it at the same time. This balance is often hard to achieve but you certainly achieved it! I can also tell that this song has some meaning behind it. It drew me in from the very beginning. O very much enjoyed listening to this song
Let me say upfront that I dislike critiquing other songwriters. All of us are trying our damnedest to create good songs and having fun doing it. The instrumentation is good. I like the single line guitar fill the shows up two or three times. The words are clearly understood. The lyrics seem dated. I think of the 1967 hit "Georgy Girl" by the Australian group The Seekers. I'm not at all suggesting your song is a copy of that one. I just wanted to give you a frame of reference.
I really liked the addition of the second voice at 1:37. The acoustic rhythm guitar was very well played; very precise chording and EQ'd well. The simplicity of the lead guitar was just right stylistically for this song, with a hint of jazz. The vocals were EQ'd just right (not too much effect). You have produced annice piece.
I love your accent! The chorus is so simple, beautiful and memorable, and only got better when you added those impeccable female background vocals. Song tells a story of a couple meeting on the shores of (Lake?) Michigan. Simple and pretty easy to follow. I like the constant rhythm guitar augmented by the really cool electric guitar riffs, super smooth and memorable. You've got a great voice and I wish you the best with this song!
