This song is from the original 3 act dance production "Pursuit," with music by 1nvisibleman and Lo Marie and choreography by Valerie Homburg and Kallie Tierney. "Pursuit" was performed 3 times in May of 2016 and featured a cast of 11 dancers performing to live music. The story follows a young woman on her fantastical journey to enlightenment while fighting her own inner demons along a dark and twisted path. Cassidie's dichotomous lifestyle forces her into a decision between complacency and self-actualization. She faces two different antagonists: a physical representation of her self-doubt and her significant other.
Song Description
In this song, Cassidie's self-doubt and inner demons have become too much for her to handle. She is asking a sorceress to take possession of her, so that she no longer has to be in control of herself. The subtle sorceress has a black serpent, named Kala Nag from ancient Greek mythology, that does her bidding. Once Cassidie has been taken over, she feels complete euphoria as she doesn't have to think, or try, or worry about anything.
