Story Behind The Song
Jayme Ann Lipkin-Moore died at 17 years old, but during her short life had worked with passion and dedication to make positive changes in matters of social justice. From the environment to sweatshops in China she was informed & involved in trying to impact these issues with awareness campaigns. After her tragic death, her mother created Jayme's Fund for Social Justice to carry on her work in the world. I, Jayme's aunt, wrote this song to support the fund and offer a statement of purpose at the first fundraising benefit concert that launched the fund.

Lyrics
From the heart of a child with the passion of ages
Came a burning desire to usher in changes
And we thought you would change the world
But you wouldn't let us off so easy
And though we can't be you
We can try to do some things you might do
And if we could make just a small difference
I know we'd try just the same
So we're gonna try to make a difference in this world
And do it in your name
Through the eyes of a woman and the soul of an angel
Came a mind for the future and a sensitive nature
And you left us designs and words
And within them we find inspiration
And though we'd rather have you
We'll let them guide us toward the dreams you held to
And you wanted to change the world
And in your short time you did more than many
So we're gonna learn from you
And try and keep those changes going for you
