Lyrics
Written and performed by Kris Spofford
You may have crumbles stone,
But the fort around my soul still standing tall,
I made it on my own,
Though you weren't there to catch me when I'd fall,,,, Lifes Pieces,,,,,,
I look at my life,
Through my dreams coming to me now,
A child without sight,
Can block the pain,,, somehow,,
Through the years and tears the fears in me,
I put up on a shelf,
Subtle sound of a harmony in a broken tune,
I wish I were someone else,
Why did you bring me here,
When you couldn't walk on your own,
The sounds of screams the walls to thin,
I'm feeling all alone,
The scars on me may not be seen,
But only from within,
A trail of blood from an open wound,
Reflections of your sins,,,,
CHORUS
You may have crumbled stone,
But the fort around my soul still standing tall,
I made it on my own,
Though you weren't there to catch me when I'd fall,
Life's pieces...
You opened the door to danger,
Not just to you, but to me,
You'd walk away knowing I was next,
With your mask you didn't see,
Linked by chains these pieces follow me,
By the shackles that I wear,
Distant light behind me,
Today MOM,,,, A blinding glare,
Chorus
Solo
Chorus
The puzzle complete,
Each piece bears a tale,
A portrait of me, my life,,,,
Unveiled......
