Song in my Heart was written during a period of post trumatic growth- rediscovering life and love after losing a life and a love. It awakens the possibility of being vulnerable again after a period of grief and the joy and playfulness that comes out of that choice. Though the song lyrics arent as deep as the description behind it and are mostly fun and light, it is the ability to be light after hardship and joyous after grief which captures the confidence of the emotions which drive the song composition.
