Lyrics
It's been ten long years ago today
I drove my pick-up truck this way
A young buck way back then
With a hairy hound dog
Came drivin round the corner
Lookin for some luck
When my tire blew out
And in the ditch I stuck
Then I saw her she came ridin
Ridin up to me
The prettiest dog gone filly
I ever did see.
Well it really was a fright
When she said "You'll have to spend the night
"We'll fix you up to stay,
Then I'll let you on your way"
No I didn't really know her for too long
But memories of that night they linger on
No I didn't really know her but she use to be a "goer"
Yes she use to be a "goer" now she's gone
Well she fixed the wheel she fixed it good
She fixed me too as a woman should
She tuned that pick-up truck
Ready for a race
And later on that morning
Just as the day was dawning
I left that ranch a smile upon my face
No I didn't really know her for too long
But memories of that night they linger on
No I didn't really know her but she use to be a "goer"
Yes she use to be a "goer" now she's gone
No I didn't really know her for too long
But memories of that night they linger on
No I didn't really know her but she use to be a "goer"
Yes she use to be a "goer" now she's gone
I didn't really know her for too long
Yes she use to be a "goer" now she's gone
