One Voice In The Wind

Story Behind The Song

Not one particular story, but a number of things. The Flood in Grand Forks, one of my coworker who had to go on disability because of her heart and she just out of high school. Deals with that fact that bad things do happen to good people.

Lyrics

Well the rain it came yet once again, it was the worse he'd ever seen. So the farmer bent this head in prayer, "God be mercriful to me!" But the rain had come and done it's deed and he knew without a doubht that the land he loved and worked was gone, it washed away out in the floor.
As the light crashes down and the sound whirls around, can you hear his one voice in the wind? So he falls on his knees and he looks to the skys and screams "Why is this happenin' to me?"
Well the girl, she now just turned 18 when her life was torn apart, as the doctor looked up from his desk and said "Well we now think its your heart. Though we don't know what's exactly wrong and we need to run more test - but we know it's pretty serious - what do for you what we think's best!"
As the light crashes down and the sound whirls around, can you hear her one voice in the wind? As she falls on her knees and she looks to the skys and screams "Why is this happenin' to me?"
Is it luck of the dice and the draw of the hand? Or is this what God always had planned?
Well the things life dishes out aren't fair and it tries to beat us down, so we need to put our faith in God that he'll pull us through some how. Cuz we need the strength not to give up - not to give into despair. And we need to know that things will work out - that God is really everywhere - that God is really everywhere!
As the light crashes down and the sound whirls around, you can hear my one voice in the wind. So I fall to my knees and I look to the sky believing that you are listening to me.
As the light crashes down and the sound whirls around, you can hear my one voice in the wind. So I fall to my knees and I look to the sky believing that you are listening to me.
