Story Behind The Song
We wrote this song right before New Years eve, when Kamille was having relationship troubles, in Lake Tahoe. (We go to Lake Tahoe every Christmas, and sometimes in the summer.) She wanted to very quickly move on and away from a guy she was dating, but her mom told her to just "slow down" and not rush away from the problem. This particular "trouble-making guy" was in Florida while we were in Lake Tahoe, and the fresh air/fresh perspective really inspired the music and lyrics behind the song.
Song Description
This song is about getting over someone, and getting the "getting over" part over with!

Lyrics
Verse:
I'm going back to Tahoe
I think I left my jacket there
It's getting cold without you here
Some place where it's snowing
Just a little taste of sky
To clear the air and say goodbye
Prechorus:
Foot down, love how the engine sounds
No stopping for energy, I'm full with intensity
Oh, oh
On to rewriting chapter 2
Crossing out the part with you
Replace it with something new
Chorus:
Speeding up and going past you now
Do the getting over faster now
Racing and I'm close to crashing now
Slow Down (2x)
Verse:
I'm pacing on the pavement
Walking off those memories
Wishing all my thoughts could freeze
Thank god I've got my jacket
It always fit me perfectly
Unlike the way that you fit me
Prechorus:
Move on, this time I'm really gone
I'm facing reality, and this is my strategy
Oh, oh
Drum roll, beating within my soul
The tempo is driving me, a road to recovery
Chorus
Bridge:
Go, go, go, go, go, go, go
Just breathe
But I can't stop, stop, stop, stop
I need to hold my breath until I'm free
Chorus
