Story Behind The Song
Sometimes you meet people who don't seem to care at all, and you wonder why you care/hurt so much. It makes you question how they got to be this way and how you could ever end up with someone who acts like that. I wrote this song not about one particular situation, but after many instances where I got fed up with the lack of empathy for my feelings.

Lyrics
suddenly/ i'm alone/ i have been sleeping by the phone/ a wave of sleep/ a wave of pain./ the ocean lies/ three hundred miles/ to the east of my nearest smile/ but you're okay/ i try to explain/ were you made of paper/ when they built you/ were you made of stainless steel/ have you even noticed/ that i've hurt you/ or have you been programmed not to feel?/ things are about as right as left/ since you left/ a thread of love, a thread of hate/ i'd love to argue/ but you stand so tall/ and you're okay/ just okay/ chorus/ i will be writing songs about you/ for the rest of your life/ but you will reading words about you/ for the rest of your life/ chorus
