Story Behind The Song
I've wanted to write a really good one-word-title ballad for ages, and suddenly I got the idea of "Courageous" for a title. Not easy, but this is what I came up with ... and I love it! I hope you do too...

Lyrics
I hold myself in the warmth of your arms every night,
And I feel lucky to know I'm alive.
We've had some times that were bad as life could make them,
But we came through, babe, and we'll survive.
Darkness fell on you, when I was feeling blue -
Stormy skies and thunderclouds were all we sometimes knew.
But still we struggled on when all but hope was gone,
Though we'd waged a war that never seemed to end -
I call that courageous, my friend.
When things go wrong in your life you may be all alone,
But if you're lucky there's someone to care.
I let you down oh so many times, my baby,
But you still loved me and you were there.
Night-time turned to day, when you said you would stay -
Even when I let you down you never ran away.
We'd hold on to our dream however bad things seemed,
'Cos we had to stick together till the end -
I call that courageous, my friend.
Yeah, that is courageous, my friend,
That's truly courageous, my friend,
Really courageous, my friend.
