The voice caught me immediately, very nice bass range with a story-telling quality that captures the listener. Nice controlled vibrato, well trained. It seemed perhaps nylon strings were used here, the tone is warm and fits the mood of this song. There was an interesting, almost discordant melody/harmony singing "slow to go" which I found unusual, but liked. Slow songs, with a single instrument can be tough to pull off, you did it.
I didn't get it... lyrics didn't fit the emotion of the guitar... your melody was more spaghetti western and guitar was sorta Spanish pop??
This song reminded me of a style of writing from the era of Irving Berlin. Nice smooth vocals and harmonies. Well done!
The Spanish guitar and the retro verb gave this tun a spaghetti western vibe to me. Really appreciate this angle.
i can hear this on tv
I like the gloomy solo vibe to this one. I could see it as a tune used for a movie soundtrack with a dark, sad or gloomy atmosphere.
