Sometimes, even when life is set in stone and 'happy', but in those quite and less busy times that leave holes for reflection...thoughts of the long ago love that was lost comes back to us. Not even once in awhile.... but longer. And we recognize the importance and sadness of it. We are still in our happy lives; not quite regretful .... but with a sad (and secret smile) we acknowledge it....years down the road. Not quite regret. Not quite ignoring it either. And you wonder....
