Story Behind The Song

I wrote this song within a week of the day that Johnny Cash died. I never got around to recording it until a few years after the fact. I have performed this song with my badn - The Cutaways - to raving applause. The Cash influence is easy to spot!

Song Description

"Long Black Train" is a tribute to the late, great Johnny Cash. It mourns the loss of the ledgend, yet understands that he is now in a "far better place".
