Story Behind The Song
My mother had three children with her first husband and I was the youngest of the three. My father left us when I was a baby. My mother remarried 7 years later and my step father wanted to adopt the three of us kids so we would have his name. Both of my siblings were excited for the adoption but I was very hesitant. My mother and siblings persuaded me to do it. Four years later my parents split. My brother later changed his name back to our original last name and my sister got married, so I was the only child left with the adopted name. This song is the struggle to feel like part of a family and the choice whether to keep a name that has been given to you.

Lyrics
You can view me as an arrow
Sailing through the sky
You can see me as a bullet
From a youthful gun I will fly
Like a general in battle
I will triumph on the field of pain
Though my story is so full of love
I still struggle not to change my name
Oh I'm on the upside down
I'm spinning hands going all around
Where are you taking my insides
All of the time I was on your mind
Where did you go, I don't know
