Story Behind The Song
After receiving a critique on a song, a pro evaluator said the music needed to be more 'swampy.' So, instead of reworking that song, matto just decided to write a totally new swampy song lyric! Originally called "Swampy, Gritty, Dirty", matto gave it to jellybean who put some seriously swampy guitar to it while they rewrote the lyric several times to it's current filthy state of "Swampy And Dirty." Enjoy!
Song Description
Poor boy from the south is hoping the rich girl from the city will fall in love with him. Using the power of suggestion, he tries to convince the girl that she won't mind gettin' a little dirty hangin' out with him.

Lyrics
"Swampy and Dirty"
V1:
You're Daddy's little girl, pampered in a five star world
Of champagne bubble baths and pearls, it's a lot to be leavin'
I was born in a tin-roof shack, my mama wrapped me in a cornmeal sack
Louisiana rain pounding on my back, is it hard to believe me
PC:
Oh, uptown will never understand
Why you wanna go and fall in love with a Bayou man
CHORUS:
'Cause you're pretty
Livin' large in the city
But I get downright gritty
Do you wanna get Swampy and Dirty
Can you sense it
I'm filled with good intentions
To crown a Cajun Princess
Come on, let's get Swampy and Dirty
V2:
Barefoot in a backwoods creek, with our jeans rolled up above our knees
Spanish moss hangin' from the trees, I like what I'm seein'
Grab a pole and nestle in tight, I'll show you how to put the bait on the line
We'll stay out late watchin' fireflies shine, all through the evenin'
PC 2:
Oh, you're letting go of the silver spoon
And now I see you glow underneath a southern moon
CH -Repeat
SOLO
PC 3:
Oh, you're singing out like a songbird set free
Now I wanna know, can you stay with a mudcat like me
CH -Repeat
END:
Creole folk say to find true love, you gotta dig down deep past the filth and mud
When the waters rise and things get tough, get swampy and dirty
