When I Think I Should Forgive You ©

Tonight I'm angry 'cause you left me
At a time when I was low
I'd lost my mama and my daddy
And all that you could say was no

My only friend became the bottle
One I've come to know so well
To share the laughter and the lonely
On my one-way trip to hell

---Refrain---
So when I think I should forgive you
I think again that time will tell
But as this anger slowly leaves me
I hope it all will work out well
-----------------------

There are times when I still suffer
Like when I'm lonely in a crowd
A thousand faces coming my way
But it's mine that can't be found

--Refrain---
So when I think I should forgive you
I think I'll wait until I've learned
If the hell you ran away from
Is the same hell where I burn

--Refrain--
So when I think I should forgive you
I think again that time will tell
As this anger slowly leaves me
I find it all has worked out well

Good rhythm to sing along to once the Lyrics have been learned.
Nice vocals suited the song with good emphasis where it was required!
Traditional clean guitar and violin music.
Easy listening and very traditional sounding song!
I think the song has everything going for it and I'd gladly put it on my Country Playlist!

Well instrumented and heart felt piece with pleasing vocals. Captures the essence of what classical country is all about.

nice standard country theme and melody/mood/instrumentation.
liked the fiddle and general idea of this tune.

The instrumentals and voice and tempo are fine. Nice Ballad

The artist should not include the female backup singer.

very nice mix and recording. traditional country pure and roots

This was a very classic country song. It had the sad country vibe that is very nice in country songs. You sang it very well, I liked the singers deep voice. The classic country sound was nice, the modern country songs are almost southern rock. So I enjoy a good traditional song.

definitely captured an old-time country feel with the lyrics and instrumentation. i liked the instrumental break.

I loved this song. The payoff was fresh, well played and sung. Solid recording. Rather than the same old cryin in the beer tune, it's the realization he's better off without her. Very cool.
