Lyrics

Full of Illusions
©Jeffrey C. Ashbaker 7-2012

Illusions, exclusions, conclusions, confusions in my life, inventing wrong from right
Choices, heard through voices, hiding truth with lies, water in my eyes

---Refrain---
And so I cry, "How did I get where I am
Somebody take my hand and tell me
How come I'm not, where I want to be"
Then I sigh, knowing the answer's inside
Letting the old ways die
Creating a path that's just for me
Full of Illusions
----------------
Revolution, evolution, resolution, solutions to this strife, restoring wrong to right
True voices, with choices, rejoicing everyday, in finding a new way

---2nd Refrain---
And so I'll smile, loving the place where I'm at
Knowing I won't look back
And grinning at the world in front of me
And I'll say, to everybody today
Hey look at me, well I am free
And I have, always been this way
Full of Illusions, confusions, Oh so full of life
--------------------
Exclusions, conclusions, confusions, well, I've just had enough, of all this nasty stuff
So hear my voice, I've made my choice, I'm exchanging it for love, the eagle for the dove

-Repeat 2nd Refrain-

Full of illusions, confusions
But I am full of love
Always full of love

you've done it again......really nice...

Nice instrumentation and production. Clean recording. Sold arrangement. Enjoyed the duet between between the male and female. Good players and supporting cast. Interesting and unique concept to the song. Very worldly, yet personal. Well done..... Clearly, it would find a home on the artist's CD, as part of a TV or film sound track.

Great example of Americana/folk/rock...I loved the melody...it was very commercial, memorable and catchy...the chorus stuck in my mind and I was singing along...Very nice chord progression...great tempo...smooth vocal...very professional...I really enjoyed listening to this...great job...I wouldn't be surprised if you got this in a movie or tv as background music...

I love the one word rhymes. Great recording, well crafted song, Vocals are top drawer

Beautiful guitar work. I really like the richness of the vocal. Nice arrangement and good work with the dynamics and volume control. This is a very nice song.

Nice tempo. Great vocals with good harmonies. I like the guitar work in this.
