Story Behind The Song
It was a very dark time in my life, I had done some things I wasn't proud of, but I knew that God had forgiven me, everyone that knew me had forgiven me. Why didn't I feel better? Finally a friend of mine told me, you need to forgive yourself. That made all the difference. So I prayed that God would allow me to write a song about forgiveness, and this was the song He taught me. It's all His, really.

Lyrics
Verse 1 -
I'm sorry for the pain I've caused, I'm sorry for the love I've lost. Mere words cannot express my heart felt woe.
It's too late to go back there now, too late to ask when, where and how, cause it wouldn't change a thing I've done I know.
Chorus -
So I'll, just live my life for God, stop chasing girls, and things and wealth. Fish a little with my brand new rod. Enjoy my friends, and make some new ones, maybe cheer up the blue ones, but most of all, Forgive myself.
Verse 2 -
The bible says that God forgives us, so who am I that I should hold a grudge against myself. I'm sorry for the pain I've caused, I'm sorry for the love I've lost, I've put that part of me up on a shelf.
