Story Behind The Song

The Twisted Skate Cycle is a 3:33 loop-able groove bed suitable for film, television and commercial purposes. Made of three different sections, played twice (with a rhythmic variation in the bass synth in the A&B sections second play-throughs), this piece was designed with flexibility in mind. Providing three different feels, each section can loop back on itself to create a musical bed of infinite length. The whole piece also loops back on itself, ending and beginning at the the 1 measure drum intro.

Song Description

The "A" section is down-tempo and mysterious. Section "B" builds in intensity through the crescendo and flows into the C section, up-tempo, melodic and climatic. Instrumentation is consistent through all three sections, allowing the user to provide different moods, while keeping the same textural feel. Overall, this piece has a sense of forward momentum and anticipation, culminating with a majestic finish. The instrument sounds were designed to be lush, full and modern without being overwhelming or distracting. There is minimal reverb on the drums, just for a bit of ambiance, but the master mix was kept purposely dry so that sonic space can be accurately matched to the scene. Have your sound editor add a short reverb for a indoor scene in a closed space or a longer reverb for a more expansive landscape, without adding unwanted noise and artifacts to your production's sound.
