Story Behind The Song
Back a few years ago I was involved(sheesh...like there was somebody else along) in a hang-glider crash. This song came outta that...But anyone who's ever taken any kind of "hit" oughta be able to relate.Basically it's a positive song about "getting back in the saddle".

Lyrics
I Hit So Hard
I hit so hard
I remember the earth was shakin'
But it was only my body breakin'
Taken to the ground
I hit so hard
I remember the angels singin'
But it was only my eardrums ringin'
Angels couldn't be found
But I put together my broken wings,
my bones and some other broken things
I climbed that mountain to ride the wind again
I hit so hard
I believed I would surely die.
But if that's what it takes to fly,
I'll try again 'cause I'm not scared
Just better prepared
I was flyin' high and the sky was blue
But the ride was over before I knew
and I learned what doubt was about
when I came to
I hit so hard
I remember the sound of thunder
It was only the ground
and I have found that when I fly
I'd rather aim high.
