Story Behind The Song
in 1991 my wife and I brought our first child into the world. sadly she died at 10 days of age. a very hard time. we made it through that sadness and had four more children. that's the good part:) it took 16-17 years to write a song about her. that was about 6-7 years ago. I finally found a melody and words I liked. I hadn't listened to the song for a long time...I was surprised by the emotion

Lyrics
sunshine on my face
I still feel you in this place
my love never lost you
it's been awhile since I could see your face
thinking back where did you go
so small we still love you so
your thought brings a smile to my face
the pain gets easier day by day
we can't wait to see you again
life keeps on going caitie until then
if you could have stayed who would you be
through God and love we set you free
you showed us love we never knew
a gift of sisters a gift to get us through
your lesson was Faith we know it now
so bug how ya doin'
your thought brings a smile to my face
the pain gets easier day by day
we can't wait to see you again
life keeps on going caitie until then
