Story Behind The Song
I wrote this song after I read the Patriot Act and considered its future implications. Many Americans paid the ultimate price for the freedoms we have, this song is dedicated to them.

Lyrics
Who Took My Freedom Away?
I was born in Philadelphia
home of our freedom
city of brotherly love
Now I work in New York City
center of the world
city of scars from above
I've been to Arlington, Virginia
put my hands on those tombstones
thanked God for their sacrifice
Walked through Boston, Massachusetts
stood before the freedom trail
feared for our massacred rights
no one seems to know, what's really goin' on,
the man just might lock me up for singin' this song
Who Took My Freedom Away?
Who stole our independence day?
What became of our democracy?
Where do I go to protest
this thinly veiled hypocrisy?
I've been to Gettysburg, Pennsylvania
in the presence of hallowed ground
could it be they all died in vain?
I've seen Wyoming's open prairies
I've seen the oceans that embrace our home
why do we still feel such pain?
Traveled Utah's Open Highways
Found my way through those old back roads
Never thought that one day, we'd be lost
Now there's signs throughout our land
Tellin' folks on where they should stand
To protect us all from danger
Our freedoms will pay the cost
Who Took My Freedom Away?
Who stole our independence day?
What became of our democracy?
Where do I go to protest
this thinly veiled hypocrisy?
Ring the bells of our holy liberty
We the people must demand that we are free
I was born in Philadelphia
home of my freedom
city of brotherly love
Now I work in New York City
center of the world
